Have you ever encountered Evolutionary Astrology Alan? Astrology has been in my head since I was a child and then a couple of years ago I encountered the Evolutionary branch of it which gives us a picture of lessons previously learned and lessons that need to be learned now.
It's not easy because it tends to push you away from whatever you feel comfortable with in order to grow, but at the same time it has, for me anyway, helped understand the circumstances that I have created this lifetime.

I have not encountered Evolutionary Astrology, no. You talking about it in your post is the first time that I had heard about it. It sounds interesting, though. Where did you first learn about it? Are there any books on it or anything of that nature?
I have had many times where I don't really like being pulled out of my comfort zone. I have that zone for a reason: to stay comfortable. If a person doesn't venture out of it, though, how will they grow as a person? How will they grow spiritually?

This is a link to the best place to learn about Evolutionary Astrology, but I think it requires basic astrological knowledge before anyone would be able to follow the great man's teaching. Some of the articles though are extremely interesting in giving insights into the whats, hows and whys of these earthly journeys that we all engage in repeatedly. schoolofevolutionaryastrology.com/I would be interested to know what anyone thinks.

Thank you so much for the link, evolutionaryseeker! Like I said, I hadn't heard of this before. From what I've read so far, it sounds very interesting. I look forward to delving deeper. I have been looking into regular Astrology, too. I think that that would provide the baseline for any other form of Astrology, wouldn't it? Same as Usui Reiki--it has brought about the "baseline" or "framework" for other forms of Reiki, such as Karuna (created by William Lee Rand of the International Center for Reiki Training.)

You're very welcome Alan and yes you're right you would need to know the basics (probably more really) of astrology and especially your own birth data to enable you to explore this branch of it. I would like to thank you for your forum and this thread which pushed me into deeper study today which gave me a 'light bulb' moment in my own evolution. Interestingly there is a direct transit today to a planetary placement which is a key indicator of my evolutionary choice this time around. The planets never fail

Without your birth data (date, time, and place of birth), you would not be able to create a birth chart, which is one of the basic aspects of astrology. It is one of the things that is looked at a lot. Most, if not all, astrologers have had some experience with having clients ask about birth charts--maybe some more than others. You're welcome! I'm glad that this forum was able to help you on your path! We look forward to hearing more!

My view of the (eternal) after life: A place with streets of gold and gates of pearls. With no death, pain, or sorrow.

I agree, settingitstraight: it is a place with no pain or sorrow. There is really no "death." Death is just the beginning of your life in the other side.

Well, there are only 2 places..... And everyone has their own beliefs on that, as well. For example, I don't believe that there are two places. There is no "Hell." But, like I said, that's just my belief. You are entitled to your own, and I'm entitled to mine. The biggest thing is that we respect each other's opinions. Like I said in the title: this is my belief of the afterlife. Until we're all there, we don't really know what's on the other side; it's all what you believe in. For example, I used to believe that there were two places: Heaven and Hell. It took me thirteen years to realize that that's not the case, but that was because of my own experiences. We all have our own experiences and, for me, they have shaped my belief system.

To give some background on my previous post: I was brought up Catholic, but at the age of 13, I had an internal "falling out," if you will, with the Catholic Church. I didn't like some of the rules that they had in place. To this day, I still do not, and I haven't been to church in many years. My thought is: why must you go to church to worship God? According to the teachings of the Catholic Church, God is omnipresent, so why must you go to church in order to be close to him? Why can't you be close to him when you are in your home? When you are driving to a vacation? When you are on vacation? You can worship where you want. You don't have to sing, you can just say, "I love you" and mean it. To me, we all worship in our own ways; we don't have to be gathered in a church to worship. And, because of the events of recent years, I don't know if I want to go back to church. I'd feel safer in my own home than in church.

While I'm Southern Baptist, the catholic church has a lot of things wrong about the real God.
