I wish I could do a tv show about my apartment...mostly because I need the money and then because it's haunted. How do I know it's haunted? Well pull up a chair children and I'll spin you a true story that began in July of 2014...for you not good counters like myself, that's this past July.
Anyhoo...the first thing I couldn't help but notice was my vacuum cleaner, now deceased, and how it was pushed up flush to the wall, cornered by my bookcase that does not so much hold books as my many, many dvd's. I'm a voracious reader but have a separate bookcase, much bigger, where my books live PLUS I do own a kindle filled with nearly 1000 books. So one night I'm in the kitchen, which is right around the corner from said vacuum cleaner, when I heard a crash. I rushed...well walked quickly..over to see what mess one of my three cats had gotten into but alas, it was the vacuum cleaner and it was on it's side. Which, after informing my then 15 year old son about, came out of his hidey-hole and decided to try and debunk the entire incident. Because I taught him well. Never believe something until you have proof. So he picked it up and then tried to push it over casually, the thing did not fall over even a little bit so he tried a bit more forced and again it snapped back to attention like a good soldier. On the fourth try he really used his young muscles and pushed it hard and yes, it fell. Finally. Upon righting the fallen soldier, he also noted that it would have been impossible for a cat to have done it, not only are they not strong enough, there is no room for them to go through in which to accidentally knock the thing over. It was a great place for it because, as most apartments, there is next to no closet space, it was completely out of the way and snug up against the wall and bookcase, plus it was facing a way that, had we thought about it at the time, it would have been impossible for a cat to knock over because the way it was facing the wall, it wouldn't have fallen in that direction. Someone or something had to have done it.
So about a month later I'm sitting at this very computer, I had a tv tray stand thingy next to me with my drink and the remote and my iPod/iPad on it and I was turned with my back to the tv tray thingy. I was facing all three of my cats, getting ready to get up and give them their evening food, when the tv tray thingy literally went flying about a good three feet, landing completely upside down. All three cats hunkered down and were all facing one direction, the corner of the room behind where the tv tray thingy was laying. So I went and pulled the childing out of his hidey-hole again and showed him what had happened. He surmised, as did I, even if one of the cats had run past it, none of them could have fit under it which is the only way either of us could believe would upset the tray...upset it but probably not pick it up, throw it and have it land upside down.
First of all, none of my cats reacts badly or afraid of whatever is in my apartment and I'll get into how Raelyn, the middle child, seems to have been befriended by it...I hope.
So in October my best friend and her son moved in with me, they sleep in the front room here where all the shenanigan's happen and they both see things, hear things, even can understand some things that have been said. Both myself and my friend have been into the paranormal for a good long time, since we were teenagers and HER home was haunted and we went and did research on it. We've been into it since the mid 80z.
Things happen nearly every day now, nothing so glamorous as throwing things but things get taken, either to return in a couple of weeks or never to return thus far...ie: my son's shaving cream disappeared for about 2 weeks only to be put back exactly where it had been and so looked for and there's no reason for anyone to have taken it, it was in the bathroom where a person would have to use it and nothing was gone. Then I went and bought some sage, when we went to use it? Completely gone and I had to go buy more. At least this one is still here. We looked EVERYWHERE.
We do evp's and we get a lot of noise, music, singing, voices, names but it's the video proof that we got a couple of weeks ago that surprised us and excites us the most. On the floor next to the tv and in front of yet another dvd stand (I love films) I have this tall laundry basket for everyone to use for towels and such only, no clothing, it was new and empty. Next to it was a package of toilet paper, nowhere else to put it as we're rather cramped now with four people living here so it's out of the way and we don't entertain so it's no big thing. So one morning, the kids are in school and I'm getting ready to take my friend to work as she doesn't have a car yet, I set up the camera to record the half hour I'll be gone. It only runs for 25 minutes, that's how long it takes to fill up the memory card and I'm too lazy to get a new one, so when I get home it's all done and shut off. So nobody but my cats are in the apartment. If you look between the toilet paper package and laundry basket, even when we're still here but especially when we leave, you'll see a shadowy thing BUT once we ARE gone? There's a small, green light that comes. Talk about being completely WOW'd by something! On another morning a few days prior I can hear a bunch of noise but the most important was the part when Raelyn starts meowing loud and strange, she's not a vocal cat unless you speak to her first or she wants something specific, so her meowing like this is odd for her, especially the sound of it and how loud it is. She goes and picks up this rubber heart thing my cat Cressida plays with, jumps up onto the sofa and just out of camera range (of course) she goes...she meow's a couple of times and the heart thingy comes flying over her head, into view and she chases it. It was like someone or something threw it for her. Now I don't mind that nobody else believes that, I know nobody is home and I know this cat does not play like that, she's more into the strip of rug I have for them to use their claws on. But ever since this started, she'll bring that specific toy to whoever is here. So back to the small, green light thing, Raelyn starts her weird meowing, goes and picks up the pink heart and brings it right to the light. The rubber heart stays there but, for us, that proves that something was back there. It's so amazing to see it, to see the green light and to see the shadowy aspect to it as well.
This past week, I've gotten nothing visual but the sounds, the noise, like a cabinet is being opened and the cat food cans being thrown loud, yesterday there was a huge noise from by the bathroom that I have yet to sort out in my head, voices, the name Patsy was said three distinct times. And then the day before that you hear a little girl giggle, my Cressida jump up onto the sofa, looking behind her, and the girl says come here or come back. It's garbled sounding but hey, she's dead so I'll cut her some slack. Then I just bought this past Monday this suitcase box thing to store some things in, my point is that the clasps on it were in the closed position obviously but you hear one of them click open and when I heard that, I checked of course, it was open. I know for a fact that it was closed because I have quite a few heavy things in there I don't want ruined. I wonder if the little girl was called Patsy. I've heard the name Lauren here as well. I've heard whistling, singing, music and it's all old fashioned music and it's in a closed room, mine of course, and you can honestly tell its coming from inside my room. No doubt about it.
One early morning my friend swears she woke up to extreme cold, our heat is freaky hot and exuberant in my apartment, and saw a little girl with bright green eyes from the same area she was in when I got the giggle and the suitcase opening clasp sound. Now I didn't see it but I believe her. Sure she could have been still sleeping but she said she got up and went to the bathroom so she wasn't asleep.
We keep a good eye on things, I have sage and holy water and we're going to cleanse the place soon, we're waiting for the kids to be in school. Right now I don't think there's anything negative here but there was a growling sound last night on my video, three growls in a row which worries me. Kids were home today so I didn't record, but they'll be back in school tomorrow and she has to work so I'll record and then let y'all know if something happens, if you want.
