Do you remember a past life?

There are many instances, many articles on the Internet, even, written about people who remember their past lives.

I found a very interesting video on YouTube about a three-year-old who remembered a past life in which he was murdered. If you would like to watch it, when the video is finished, please comment on this post what you think so we can all talk about it; I would love to hear your opinions on it!

I just got finished watching the video and I remember seeing this somewhere else. I forget if it was when I was searching for something else in the same subject matter of past lives, or if I was just doing a general search on past lives, but nonetheless, I found this video, watched it, and was amazed all over again.

The fact that the child remembers his past life is a great thing. He was three years old. When he led village elders to the spot where he said he was buried, they dug up the spot and found a skeleton. He also told them what the weapon was in which ended his life: an axe. When he led them to the place in which the axe was supposedly buried, they dug again...and found the axe. The axe corresponds with the birthmark on his head, where he was hit with the axe.

He also brought them to his old village. His elders asked members of the village if they knew anyone by the name that they gave him from his past life, and they said that they did -- that the man passed away four years ago.

I don't necessarily remember, but I've had a past life regression. I was a young girl in Afghanistan who wore a plum color veil. There was a hall of some sort with long tables where the men were eating some type of grain while the woman sat in the dirt outside to eat. I was either sold or given to a much older man as a teenager. He wanted a son but I kept giving birth to daughters. By the tenth child he decided to light me on fire to kill me

I'm sorry to hear of your past life's untimely, cruel, gruesome death, lowenquicksilver. I have yet to have a past life regression, but I have so, so many questions about it. I have so many questions about how my past life effects me in this current life - and why I jump at just about every sound that I hear.

I believe past life regressions are symbolic, and shape us into who we are. Where I was deathly afraid of fire for no reason in this life, maybe your reaction to sounds indicate dying in an explosion?

Could they have been "dreams" we had before we were born, if it is possible to dream in the womb. I wonder

And I thought I was supposed to be the one to give advice. No, but seriously, thank you, lowenquicksilver. I never thought about that possibility.

Could what have been a form of dreaming in the womb, though? What are you referring to? Sorry, I don't think I'm understanding what you mean.

There have been reports of people who were totally blind having visions while near death and trying to explain it. so is it far fetched to question whether unborn baby's have similar experiences?

Oh! I'm not really sure. I haven't done any research on it, to be honest.

If so, could it be to get the soul prepared? for it's new life? With a symbolic one first?

You may be right. Although, everyone has different experiences. So I've been told and so I have discussed at length with a great spiritual friend of mine. He was a delight to talk to.

I was on a mission trip once to Philadelphia and the friend was there as a chaperone. He and I would set the table every day for dinner and talk as we did. Once we were done, we would sit down and drink water and talk some more as we waited for all of our friends to come down to consume the mean that we had at that time.
