A Ladybug on my Side "Table"

There was a ladybug on my side table all morning. I noticed him/her when I was getting ready to go get lunch. He/she was just sitting there, not moving and not flying around; just sitting there as if waiting for me to acknowledge their presence.

I looked over and he/she was there. They were there for about maybe a half an hour or so. Now he/she isn't there anymore. I didn't see him/her fly away; it was as if he/she vanished into thin air.

I do think that this maybe another sign from my great aunt who crossed over into spirit on January 27, 2015.

i had this happen to a friend of my moms. her aunt loved lady bugs, couldn't get enough of them, after her aunt passed lady bugs would show up in her house, though it was in the winter and they would show up inside when no windows were open.  i never saw for myself, but I'm pretty sure it was her aunt trying to stay close to her, and let her know she was still around.

I have had a few ladybugs by my bed, as I sad in the open post of this thread, and I have always thought that they're deceased loved ones who want to say hi. Though they do scare me from time to time.

why do they scare you?

I really don't have an answer to that. I just have a phobia of them, daddy long legs and other creatures like that.

I didn't know that they were harmless in that aspect. I just don't like them crawling all over me.

Actually, this is partly true. As my dad has no fear of arachnids (he's had a wolf spider as big as his hand in his hand), it's the daddy long legs with the round bodies this is true for. However, the long bodied (elongated / oval) daddy long legs can bite through an adult's skin - as dad has had that happen to him before.

However, the long bodied (elongated / oval) daddy long legs can bite through an adult's skin - as dad has had that happen to him before.

The fangs are long enough to penetrate the skin of babies and small children.

Adults have been bitten by Red backs before.
