Old Culley Farm

I have been unsure if the house I live in with my mom is haunted; but finally I have been able to know if it is or not the truth is it IS haunted. I've been in the bathroom and I heard walking around near where I was; and I would get done and go out and nobody would be there; checked the garage neither the truck (belonging to my mom's business partner) nor the car (belonging to my mom) were in the garage; I've even said hello before when I've heard it and nobody has answered me. We have no animals at all in the house so that rules out animals making the sounds I hear; haven't had an animal here since September 6th, 2014.

Our house is built on the old Culley Farm's property the old farm house still exists and still is a functioning farm. Our house is sat on 5 acres; my step-dad died in this house; but I know it's more than him haunting this house; but I don't know who else.

You should try and look up the history in your local library or something. That's what we do. I love when the history can bring light to our experiences. You may want to have a psychic come in to help you with this, or you can attempt communication with a pendulum.

so early this morning (around 7 am eastern) I was going the bathroom the house is empty except me (mom and business partner are in Ohio) and I was looking towards our Mudroom and laundry room area and I saw these white flashes; nothing like I've seen at our house before more like what I've seen at Sweet Scoops

I have seen many flashes out of the corner of my eye in the past. Were they like that? Or did you actually see them?

I was looking straight to the mudroom and almost a solid white mass flashed towards our laundry room (which from where I was standing and looking is to the right)

I have found that, sometimes, that is the most frightening thing about the paranormal/supernatural: Most times, you're looking right at the thing that is happening and you don't have any choice but to look. It's weird sometimes.

Do you ever get that feeling? That's what I thought about as I was reading your post.

yeah I know exactly what you mean; yeah I have had that feeling.

I just had another experience at my house here on the old culley farm; at 3:05 pm eastern standard time I was sitting here at my computer and I heard a knock at one of our doors I went and checked the 2 back doors, the door into our garage (both garage doors are closed), and the front door and NOBODY was there I even looked around still nobody was there. This is broad daylight at that AND we are out in the country we rarely get visitors! Except rarely one of our neighbors occasionally someone doing a petition, and our mail person if we have large packages that won't fit in the mailbox, but I haven't even like seen a vehicle leaving the driveway indicating someone indeed was here!

Mind you no one is here EXCEPT me, my adopted mom (who I live with) is at work and her business partner (who lives with us in the basement) is at a Cribbage Tournament and he will be gone all day!

It's unnerving for a lot of people. Including me.

Hmm... When things like this happen, I often wonder if something is going amiss - like something in the history would answer questions of now. I often find myself having to revisit the history that I have looked at before.

Maybe it's a residual haunting? Do things like this happen a lot, or is this the first time that it has happened?

well I know it's been awhile since I updated for the old culley farm, but the house has been rather quiet lately, however tonight while I've been at my computer it sounds like doors are slamming downstairs, however I've checked the garage and the car and the truck are gone nobody is here but me; it doesn't sound like it's coming from outside either it sounds just like when Carl shuts his door to the basement.

and now at 8:44 pm eastern I just heard a loud boom from downstairs yet nobody has come home so I'm still alone I don't know how that happened!

It wasn't the house settling in any way? I've had sounds like that and it was my house settling.

honestly I don't think so I am not sure, but seriously it sounded like something big dropped in the basement and it sounded like the door slammed or shut like when Carl is closing it when he gets home and goes downstairs

Oh, I think I understand a bit better now. It was kind of like residual energy in a way (the banging and door slamming, I mean). That could sometimes be residual - happening over and over again, but only when the time was right.

I'm glad you think you understand it a bit better now. It is quite possible. Yeah I can understand that.

No that was the first time; however around midnight Sunday into Monday it happened again Carl was home at the time, but he's asleep by then at least the drop part did; he said nothing looked out of place when he went and checked when he got home.

Your further explanations made it so I could grasp it a bit more clearly. Thank you for that.

I have had many times where I hear something drop off of a shelf, or something of that nature, and I go in to investigate and there is nothing out of the ordinary. It happens a lot, actually.

Update: February 10th, 2016 again the house has been rather quiet no signs of anything; but then again last night something happened was maybe 8 or 9 pm eastern I was going to the bathroom and again I saw the white mass, but this time it was more child-sized than the first one which seemed more adult sized! However this time it was in the hall-way heading towards MY BEDROOM! It wasn't out of the corner of my eye either I was looking that way as it was right towards where I was going (the bathroom is between my room and my mom's room).
