The Totally-Random Never-Ending Thread (TRNET)

Vari and I were talking and she gave me the idea to create this thread here on Psychic Psyghtings. This thread is called The Totally-Random Never-Ending Thread. This thread has the potential to have the topic change on a whim, at any time and/or date. Some of you may have seen a similar thread on another forum, and that's is also what sparked the idea here. Some suggestions for this thread are to post what you are doing right now or what you are thinking about doing later on in the day. If you burnt your coffee, tell us. If you burnt your hand on the stove while making spaghetti, tell us. You can also post what music you're listening to (provided that it is a linked YouTube video if you post a video. I think that you get the idea. You can post anything, as long as it adheres the rules below:

1. Follow the PB ToS because it stays in effect at all times.
   
2. Follow the site rules because they stay in effect at all times.
3. If something gets out of hand, use the Report to Mod button in the cog dropdown to report the post to a staff member.
4. Have fun!

I'll start off: It is really cold and I have had times where I have thought that my feet would fall off more than once this winter, but the "winter" has been so good to us this year that it didn't even feel like winter until this past Monday, January 2, 2015, because it's been so un-seasonally warm!

This un-seasonally warm winter scares me. Sure, we have snow right now and it's cold, but it's expected to get warmer again next week. This scares me because (1) it isn't cold enough long enough to kill the bugs in hibernation meaning that next summer will likely have swarms more than normal and (2) all the plants and bees are confused. Flowers, trees, and even crop plants have started budding and I've seen bees out to pollenate, but that won't do use any good if winter hits with a sudden ueber-cold frost and kills everything.

Sure, I probably just burst everyone's bubble. But while everyone looks at this mild winter thinking "great", I as a farmer's granddaughter look at it and worry about these things.


P.S. I burnt my finger on the last pan of chocolate chip cookies - it had gone through a hole in the oven mit that I didn't know about.

Yup, it scared me, too. I was afraid because I knew that the winter would be coming with a vengeance and I don't know if, or when, it will leave. I don't want more bugs. I don't like bugs! I mean, they're nice for the environment, but I don't like when they bite me and suck my blood...

I hate burning my finger... that's partly why I don't cook or bake! I hope that the cookies were worth it. I know that if I do that, I lose my appetite.

I just got back from a drive and I'm out of the cold now. It's exactly at the freezing point of water. I hope it doesn't go any lower because I don't want snow...

I have been in and out of sleep all day... I have been on here trying to make sure that everything is bug-free. I don't like bugs; they're creepy, crawly and annoying!

Randomness!!!

Just got back from a Spielabend (game evening) I hosted. We played "Zug um Zug" (German version of "Ticket to Ride") and "Ligretto"! Of course this was with lots of laughter and after we made homemade pizza!

Another randomness: A guest posted in my shoutbox that she likes the four distinct races on my site with the four nations. Oh, how I hope she comes back to join!!!

I have finally figured out something I have wanted to do with JS for so, so long! YAY!

I'm just here, working on a few features that I think you will all like (...at least, I hope that you do, considering I've put a lot of time and effort into them. )

I hope that everyone is getting out of the snow and is home sitting by the fire sipping hot cocoa. It's supposed to be snowy where I live, and so far, we've gotten a few centimeters. I don't want to say inches of snow... yet.

I woke up at 7am and then went back to sleep. I just woke up from my nap and it's about five hours later...

I stay up way, way too late to get up so early in the morning.

I find I do both of those things far too much. Then again, both of those, in my case, may be caused by not sleeping through the night. And if I do sleep, it is a very restless and I find myself waking seemingly always tired.

I never have really noticed if I sleep restlessly or not, but I do find myself almost always waking up tired. It's really a pain in the neck when I have to go to school and stay there until four o'clock in the afternoon.
